This paper draws upon data from research carried out in Portugal in 2003/2007 aimed at investigating the ways in which Portuguese teachers, as a curricular decision makers, use the Project to support the processes of teach and learn, and how the Curricular Project influences the organizational and professional development.
Method
The gathered data comes from two different PhD thesis involving theacher work around the construction of curricular projects. those researches use qualitative methods of gathering data and have etnographic characteristics, accordind to an action-research philosophy.
Expected Outcomes
The analysis of data lets us understand the strong points of the use of curricular projectos as mediating the learning and teaching processes, identify the organizational forms that support the development of the project and the needs of change in the teaching professionalism.
