Session Information
00 SES 11 A, EERA’s Role in Europe – Now and in the Near Future
EERA Anniversary Panel
Contribution
EERA is an association of approximately 30 national/regional associations from all over Europe. We have more than 30 thematically networks running the sessions in the conference and the seasonal schools. We have 2-3.000 attendees at the annual meetings (ECER), hereof 3-400 at the Emergent Researchers Conference (ERG).
We are closely connected to the European Educational Research Journal (EERJ). We are founding members of The World Educational Research Association (WERA); member of the core group of the European Alliance for Social Sciences and Humanities (EASSH) and member of The Initiative for Science in Europe (ISE).
In many ways EERA has for twenty years been prospering and growing. So now the question arises Where should we go from here? What needs to be our priorities, if we want to facilitate educational research associations and researchers in the constantly changing political, economical and culturally changing European and Global contexts?
