Session Information
Contribution
The Symposium begins with an Introduction [Martin Lawn] to the idea of Europeanization in education research and to the role of the Carnegie Corporation, its mission and scale of work in the 1920s and 1930s. It will explore the relations between the international Institute at Teachers College, Columbia, Carnegie and its main actors in the IEI. It will refer to the networking role of the World Education Fellowship among certain members of the IEI main group. It will raise questions about how horizontal networking in the sciences of education can be explored and what constructs will be useful to this process.
