Response to the Refugee Crisis

In September 2015 ECER, the European Conference on Educational Research, will bring together over 3.000 participants from Europe and around the world to discuss and present their research in Budapest. Many of them have expressed their concern about the current refugee situation in Budapest and elsewhere.

As an answer to these concerns and in order to give conference participants an opportunity to show and express their solidarity, EERA wants to highlight and promote the important support given to refugees and migrants by the various members of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

The proceeds from this fundraising campaign (for details, please follow the "Donate" button below) will go to the Hungarian Red Cross who, amongst other activities, offer psychosocial support to newly arrived refugees in the Röszke transit centre near the Hungarian-Serbian border.

Please support the Hungarian Red Cross to welcome refugees and take care of  their basic needs.

Results

Before, during and after ECER 2015 conference participants donated 10.500 Euro to the IFRC / Red Cross Hungary.

After ECER 2015, on September 25, we have closed the special EERA/ECER donation plattform.

Feel free to further support the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescants and their work for refugees.
