The European Conference on Educational Research (ECER) 2015 takes place from 7 - 11 September 2015 at Corvinus University, Budapest. The conference is preceded by the Emerging Researchers' Conference and will also be the host for the Focal Meeting of the World Education Research Association (WERA).

Call for applications: Histories of Education Summer School

This summer school is an initiative of EERA’s Network 17, ‘Histories of Education’ and is the sixth conference in a series of successful events that started in Ghent in 2010 and was followed by meetings in Birmingham 2011, Lisbon 2012, Hamburg 2013, and Umeå 2014. This edition of the summer school is organised by the University of Luxembourg.

Education across Europe - a photographic conversation

Network 17 (Histories of Education) is preparing a special e-publication to mark the 20th anniversary in 2014 of the foundation of EERA. We would like to commission scholars from the twenty-eight countries that currently make up EERA to produce a small ‘essay’ or conversation piece of around 500 words on education in their country (in the largest possible sense of the word) based on the content of one or two photographs. The photographs will have been taken at any time from the late nineteenth century up to the late twentieth century. These small essays and the respective photographs would then be published in the form of an e-book.
